Common questions
My landlord changed the locks. What can I do?
Michigan law limits self-help evictions, and a lockout without a court order can give a tenant claims of its own. Call right away so we can review your lease and act quickly.
Someone owes my business money. Is it worth suing?
It depends on the amount, the paperwork and whether the debtor can pay. Often a strong demand letter resolves it. We'll tell you honestly whether litigation makes sense.
Do you only represent tenants, or landlords too?
Both. We represent landlords and tenants in commercial lease disputes, subject to a conflict check.
